“No pessimist ever discovered the secrets of the stars or sailed to an uncharted land or opened up a new heaven to the human spirit,” observed Helen Keller. In this change-crazed world we live in, a healthy dose of optimism will help us deal with life’s daily challenges and stay inspired in the face of difficulties. But the habit of positive thinking is not enough. To truly thrive on the inevitable obstacles that will appear on your path, you must learn specific strategies for managing setbacks and transforming your struggles into strengths. The following 5 points will keep you motivated, inspired and focused as you deal with adversity:

1. Search for the Opportunity. The great motivational thinker Napoleon Hill once said that every difficulty contains the seed of an equivalent opportunity. The person of true character has the courage to find it and then seize it in order to move on to a whole new level of success. Problems are a part of life. The only people on the planet who are problem-free are resting six feet under the ground. When faced with an apparent failure or rejection, ask yourself the simple question: “what can I learn from this?” Then use the experience to grow more effective at what you do. Remember, failure is the highway to success. As J.P. Guildford noted: “To live is to have problems and to solve problems is to grow intellectually.”

2. Envision a Better Day. One of the most powerful ways to stay focused and strong in the face of a setback is to simply close your eyes and picture a time when things will be much better. Visualize things going the way you want them to go. Vividly see things unfolding ideally and emotionally connect to how good you will feel once they do. Jonas Salk said: “I’ve had dreams and I’ve had nightmares. I’ve overcome my nightmares because of my dreams.” By staying anchored to a positive vision of your future, you will remain motivated no matter how tough your current circumstances may be.

3. Connect to the Truth. There are certain “Success Truths” or natural laws of achievement that have endured throughout the ages. Unfortunately, with the frenzied pace at which most of us work and live at, we often lose sight of these truths that have stood the test of time, truths such as “just before a great victory one often faces great adversity” or “we learn and grow most from our biggest failures” or “nothing can stop a person who simply refuses to be stopped.” The simply daily discipline of reading an inspirational book or a great text of wisdom from a life philosopher such as Seneca or Thoreau first thing in the morning will reconnect you to the success truths that govern the way we live. Their knowledge will then infuse and inspire every remaining minute of your day and your problems will not seem so big.

4. Select, Reflect and Correct. Reflection is one of the most powerful yet underused business skills. The French scientist Blaise Pascal mused that “All man’s miseries derive from not being able to sit quietly in a room alone.” The habit of going to a quiet place on a regular basis and reflecting on the causes, solutions and ultimate benefits of a problem you might be experiencing is one that will profoundly improve the level of your personal and professional effectiveness. Thinking deeply about the way you are doing the things you do increases self-awareness which, in turn, prevents future mistakes. Let your past failures serve you. Transform your stumbling blocks into stepping stones. Unless you reflect – then correct – the mistakes of your past, you are doomed to repeat them.

5. Maintain Your Perspective. Stephen Hawking, one of the world’s greatest scientific thinkers, has noted that we live on a minor planet of a very average star located within the outer limits of one of a hundred thousand million galaxies. In light of this finding, can your problems really be that significant? While, in the heat of the moment our challenges seem to be major calamities, over time we are able to see them in a new light. All top performers have developed this ability of keeping their setbacks in a proper perspective, learning from them and then advancing confidently in the direction of their dreams. Never lose sight of the fact that the work you and your team is doing impacts on people’s lives and you can make a difference. That’s what’s most important. As the poet Rumi once said: “When you are dead, seek for your resting place, not in the earth, but in the hearts of men.” Wise words from a wise man.

Few weeks we were honored to host Dr. Deepak Chopra in Israel for the second time. Dr. Chopra brought a group of his guests, who came to Israel to walk in the “Footsteps of Jesus.” Their tour featured visits throughout the country including the Christian Holy Sites as well as learning with Dr. Chopra.

For the readers that don’t know Dr. Chopra, he is the author of more than fifty books that were translated into over thirty-five languages, including numerous New York Times bestsellers in both the fiction and nonfiction categories. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, Adjunct Professor at Kellogg School of Management and Senior Scientist with The Gallup Organization. He is also the co-founder and President of the Alliance for a New Humanity. Time magazine once heralded Deepak Chopra as one of the top 100 heroes and icons of the century and credited him as ‘the poet-prophet of alternative medicine”.

Dr. Chopra and his wife Rita, brought 30 VIP guests to Israel . These guests came from all over the world and we had the privilege of starting the journey in the city of Tel Aviv which celebrates 100 years. We than continued the tour and visited Caesarea.

On Tuesday day and in every morning thereafter, we started the day with Meditation. That day, we had a Tour of Nazareth and Kfar Kana , had great lunch in “Pioneer” and visited Moshav Nahalal which is Israel’s first moshav settlement. The first settlers were central figures in the history of Jewish settlement in modern Israel. They created a way of life combining social justice, equal opportunity, work of the land and an independent family farm. The way of life in the moshav and its special architectural planning in the form of a circle create a socio-economic structure that is one of a kind in Israel and the world. At Nahalal the group enjoyed a delicious meal made from the fresh produce from the moshav, learned about the family’s fascinating connection to Nahalal as well as an opportunity to visit their “sleek” (a pre-war of Independence Jewish underground’s weapons cache). We then enjoyed a view of the entire Jezreel Valley and had a chance to visit the cemetery where Moshe Dayan and Ilan Ramon have been buried.

We continued by visiting Mt. Tavor and the Church of the Transfiguration at the Summit and had an amazing overview of the Sea of Galilee Including Meditation led by Dr Chopra.

On Wednesday we saw some Christian Sites around the Sea of Galilee (Mt. of Beatitudes -Sermon on the Mount, Tabcha – Fish Loaves, Kfar Nachum – First Church), we sailed and done meditation on the Sea of Galilee from Capernaum to Ginnosar, then we visited the “Jesus” Boat at Ginnosar and had wine Tasting at the Golan Heights Winery, including an overview of the Gamla Fortress and Church of Dier Karuch and overview from Mount Bental.

On Thursday we started with short walk and discussion at Banias (Biblical Caesarea Philippi). We enjoyed an amazing authentic picnic lunch in the nature and at the afternoon we started our journey to Jerusalem via the Jordan Valley

We stoped at the actual Baptismal Site at Kaser El Yahud and had a desert mediation at Abraham’s Tent. We finished the day with biblical Dinner with Judean Desert Musical Accompaniment. Abraham’s Tent, Genesis Land is situated in the heart of the Judean in the land where the Patriarchs lived. A magical place, it enables visitors to experience life as it was in biblical times. Visitors to Genesis Land are greeted by Eliezer, Abraham’s manservant, and by a train of camels which lead them down to Abraham’s tent, where visitors would experience his legendary hospitality.
At Genesis Land, the stories of the Bible come to life in the very landscape in which they took place.

On Friday we had the most beautiful overview of Jerusalem from the Has Promenade. We started our journey at the Shiloch pool in the David City. We visited the southern wall of the Temple Mount and had a tour the Jewish Quarter
Dormation Abbey, Room of the Last Supper and the Church of Saint Peter in Gallicantu.
The highlight of the day was an evening visit to the Western Wall for the Sabbath.

On Saturday morning we started with an overview from the Mt. of Olives followed by a visit to the Church of the Ascension, Dominus Flavit and The Garden of Gethsemane. We walked to the Kidron Valley second temple period tombs and the highlight was the Via Dolorosa and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Our guests had a great visit Bethlehem and the Church of the Nativity ( we couldn’t participate due to security reasons).

On Sunday Dr Chopra and the team started the day at the Temple Mount and then went out of Jerusalem to the ancient Qumran and the highlight of Sunday was Masada.
We had the peak time of the trip in the middle of the Judean Desert with amazing dinner, dances and meditation in a fantastic location.

On Monday we had a Jeep tour in the Area of the Judean Desert and we drove to Eilat for dinner and sailing on the Red Sea.

The last day was devoted to Petra, the giant red mountains and vast mausoleums of a departed race which has nothing in common with modern civilization, and ask nothing of it except to be appreciated at their true value – as one of the greatest wonders ever wrought by Nature and Man. Although much has been written about Petra, nothing really prepares you for this amazing place. It has to be seen to be believed.
Often described as the eighth wonder of the ancient world, it is without doubt Jordan’s most valuable treasure and greatest tourist attraction

This trip was an eye-opening trip for me and thanks to Aviad Meital our Guide and Nachshon VIP– the company that together with Aviad made this trip a “dream came true”. We now have 30 ambassadors of the wonders of Israel.

I recommend this company to any team that wants to experience the best of Israel – (nachshonviptours) .

Many people, including ourselves, find that they feel a need to write, maybe to publish a book or an article in which they can tell and share their thoughts and experiences with others – in our case, we were blessed to publish our own book a year ago.

We all have in us a sort of “editor” big or small or perhaps you would call it a “judge” or “censor”. That which tells us what is ok and not ok, that helps us decide what is right and what is wrong, what we should say now, and how to behave in every situation. And maybe, it doesn’t always help us.

Maybe when we give it center stage, it blocks our creativity, our spontaneity, spunk and spirit. So how do we limit its presence and allow other parts some more stage time? How do we divide our attention between all of the “roles” inside us in a way that will allow us to flow? And maybe the answer to this lies in the question itself.

A good way we found is to practice, to repeat the action consistently until the change is made. And if it is writing we are dealing with, this means writing for at least 30 minutes a day and practicing focusing on the pen or writing hand, or letters of the keyboard, or the breath coming out and in through our nose, anything that could distract our attention from the content, the writing and the “editor”. To release and allow ourselves to write whatever pops up in our head, without deciding on the subject beforehand.

When you get stuck it’s recommended to go back to the first line, because that allows opening new routes (confusing the “editor”). You can put in a few comments like “I’m finding this hard right now”, “I’ve nothing to write”, or “I want to stop” to release resistance during the process. It’s recommended to do the same when “editor” remarks pop up, such as “this is so silly”, “I am so ridiculous” and ” who ever said I could write?” etc. This way, you are giving this voice a temporary stage that usually quiets it. Most of all it is important to remember that change does not happen in a moment, and if we have lived with this character inside us till now, for so long, there is no reason that we should be able to erase it in one day.

“From practice shall come faith”. This is a sentence we heard in a spiritual awareness course we took together a few years ago and really connected to. From our experience, this sentence really works. The more you practice writing, as in everything else, the more the change is brought about. The more you write, the more your focusing ability will grow, your points of view will expand and you will become aware of a special feeling during writing. When you allow the pen to write as if by itself, or the keyboard keys to run on their own it’s like someone else is sitting there and writing from within you and the sensation is that of floating.

In conclusion, writing is a process of practice, and just like you can’t shape your body through talking about fitness, but need to exercise, such is the case with writing. To write a book, it is not enough to think about it! You need to start to write…

We recommend to practice intuitive writing. It is a sort of writing that allows a flowing and reception of messages beyond what we are familiar with. It is possible to converse with the spiritual guides, to receive answers for rising questions, and to strengthen confidence in our way.

A recommended exercise in intuitive writing:
Answer five questions: what made me happy today? What made me feel uncomfortable? What do I want to change? What is the next step I must take? How can I be of service? And then let the pen write “on its own” on the page. Focus on the ballpoint that is writing and not on what you are writing, and notice the change in handwriting, and in the way of writing which changes from me to you with time. Write no less than three folio pages each time. If this is difficult, start from ten minutes, and raise the amount of time gradually. Practice this at least three times a week and remember that through practice faith will come too.

(More guidance can be found in the books: Gift for the soul by Dawn E. Clark, Spiritual Growth: Being Your Higher Self by Sanaya Roman, Creative Visualization by Shakti Gawain , Leadership For Everyone With Robin Sharma – Practice 6 – Self Leadership).

We would be happy to hear reactions and reinforcements from those of you who actually dared and tried the process of writing.

Until recently, I thought that they visit the site to get our online programs and implement the know-how and methods from our Mentors books. However, in the last few days, more and more clients and friends are telling me that they would love getting answers to their urgent challenges such as : Career, Wealth, Health,Relayionship, Stress and Balance.

Solving subscribers’ challenges is the main idea behind new products and new companies. The enabling technology is the platform that enables serving the subscribers, yet, the only way to succeed is by placing the client in the center and by doing so, be able to reach more clients.

We try to understand the clients’ needs by having ongoing discussions with them and asking them various questions including the reason for them choosing our company’s offering. We also ask for their feedback (we prefer calling it feed-forward) and suggestions on how to continue improving our services.

Thankfully, the internet helps us to provide the services and communicate with the clients, helping us to improve our services and serve them better.

My answer focused on: Trust your feelings and do what looks like your destiny and life purpose NOW, it can evolve in time and even become something else entirely in the future. But you need to and can decide NOW based on your current passion and feelings. Trust the universe and a clear vision of your life purpose will eventually reveal, at the right time.

Robin Sharma’s inspiration for today ” Trust that where life carries you is exactly where you are meant to be. Let go of all your resistance and move into a posture of surrendering to whatever is unfolding. Doing so is one of the ways you will ensure that you will walk the path of your destiny, your true path”.

For me the brain is yet a big mystery and it is the same for many people around the world, but research is making a lot of progress in understanding how the brain is works, Amnon my friend has demonstrate to me the power of writing and the impact it has on the brain. I read a lot about the power of imagination and the fact that for the brain handles reality and dreams in a very similar manner.

Today I talked with my friend Isaac about the phenomena of ” amplification ” that happens in the brain. For example, when we take a deep breath the brain knows that we are relaxing and amplifies it, taking advantage of the intense flow of oxygen in our blood . The same happens when we giggle and feel happy. Physical effects are amplified by our brain and therefore create a bigger effect on us.

Yet there is a long way until we will understand the effect of fear and the impact it has on our lives, of the impact of being sad or worried and the how the brain amplifies these feelings, sometimes to the point of panic or depression.

Therefore optimism is such a strong tool which we can use to positively bias our brain and help amplify good things that we want to have in our lives or reach, or even impact the way we handle challenging or demanding tasks. Because after all, the brain is made up of huge populations of networked neurons which are competing for dominance, and if we let the positive side take over, we will surly see the impact across everything we think and do.

In Merriam Webster dictionary the word Innovation stand for the “introduction of something new , a new idea, method, or device”, for few days I am thinking about one device that has changed my life, my mobile phone(I-phone from Apple) Is with me since February 2008 but only In the last 2 weeks I left the office without my laptop, after 17 years I finally manage to detached from the laptop, this is a great opportunity to write about innovation, the power of technology and new ways to connect with people.

I have used many of the smart phones since 2003, but it was never a good replacement to my laptop, keyboard was too small, the lack of power and the number of applications were not enough also the battery died after few hours of heavy usage.

But now I use the I-phone for almost all communication and for entertainment, I’m using it for regular calls and IP calls, for SMS, Twitter, Chat, IM, internet, Facebook and other communities, for the first time I feel that the mobile phone can replace the PC and maybe the TV, Radio, Music, video, books, news and games. . . in large part of the my day this is all I need, even the author Deepak Chopra write with his books using his blackberry.

I love technology and I admire companies that built product with such innovation such as Apple, they give me a lot of inspiration to take personal development, mentoring and coaching to the mobile world with Interactive application that will combine podcasts, video’s questionnaires and dashboards and will allow us to practice anytime and anywhere and improve our lives.

Few months ago we developed an interactive online program based on Deepak Chopra’s Best seller – Seven Spiritual Laws of Success. Our aim was to help people implement the method in their lives.

I think that it is very important to start your day with 15 to 30 minutes practice of the Seven Laws. I have been doing it every day for the last few month, feeling that it is helping me to balance my life and achieve my deepest desires.

The laws offer anyone who wants to create a meaningful and happier reality, the practical tools and clear knowledge of what success is and how to reach it.
Designed to connect you to the mystery of existence, the seven laws will guide you to fulfill your true potential, and live a balanced and inspired life.
Seven simple daily laws contain all the information you need in order to begin your personal journey.

While connecting to Tuesday’s law, The Law of Karma, I realized that Every moment is a moment of choice and therefore every moment is a moment of infinite possibilities.

In order to understand and implement the law into your life, you can ask yourself to recognize that you are a choice maker, to anticipate the consequences of your choice and to listen to your body to sense the affect of your choice.

Two weeks ago Robin Sharma arrived to Israel as our guest and speaker in three events, we had an amazing time where Robin gave inspiration to so many people in the events, in meetings and to every person he met.

It was also the launch to our new program called ” Leadership For Everyone” and Robin’s new book called “Daily Inspiration“. I believe that we all need inspiration every day and by reading books, seeing movies, going to seminars or listening to podcasts, it can be part of our life. I have decided that when a daily inspiration will touch my heart I will write about it and today it did. I felt that so many people are survivals in this world and forget that they have many choices and that they can take action now!

“We always have choices as human beings. Each of us has far more choices that we are aware of. We think we are so Limited in life that we have to live and do what we currently do. That’s just more of the language that victims are prone to use. It’s always up to you – how far along the path home from social self to your authentic self you want to go. And when you assume personal responsibility for what’s not working in your life and then bravely start taking action to improve what needs to improve, doors you didn’t even know existed will begin to open up.” Robin Sharma

Few weeks ago I spoke to my friend Isaac about fears during our daily walk. He mention that the number one fear is Public speaking. I couldn’t believe it and he was almost sure that he read it in the “Time Magazine”. I asked him to find more evidence to this finding since I thought that fear of death is number one and that, at least, the fear of the dentist is stronger than public speaking. . .

During the following week, I spoke to some of my friend that confirmed they are more afraid of public speaking then death because they don’t know enough about death but they had many experiences at nursery /school / university / parties when they had to speak in front of others and they shared with me that this is their number one fear. Some of them shared that they feel shame, some are depending on what other people think of them, for others it is related to their look and few think that they have nothing to say in public.

When Robin Sharma arrived to Israel few days later as our guest, he mention the same phenomena in his keynote and I remembered that I used to feel uncomfortable with public speaking 10 year ago, though I had a brilliant coach Barry Katz who worked with me to improve my skills and enjoy public speaking. I believe that confronting a fear is going out of our comfort zone and improve the leadership in our own life.

Isaac came back to me with some referrals to the phenomena:

• Fear of Public speaking is said to be the Number One Fear reported in surveys of American adults, topping such fears as the fear of flying, financial problems, sickness, and even death!, Americans said that their number one fear was public speaking, and that the fear of death was number five.

• According to The Book of Lists (contains hundreds of lists on unusual or esoteric topics), the fear of public speaking ranks number one in the minds of the majority of people. Far above the fear of death and disease, comes the fear of standing in front of a crowd. We all want to be movie stars, but are terrified of the spotlight. I have some opinions about why this happens, to be covered in a future article.

• Public Speaking – A Greater Fear Than Death? By Peter Fisher Platinum Quality AuthorPeter Fisher is a Career Coach and Director of Career Consulting Limited. A webmaster for over 20 Personal Development and Careers Websites ranging from Your-Career-Change.com . According to studies, public speaking is a bigger fear than death. Fear of public speaking is reported to be the number one fear of American adults, with many people experiencing tremendous suffering because of it. The fear of public speaking is the most common phobia that has ever been diagnosed and while this does not mean people would rather be dead than speak in public, as some authors would like you to believe, it does illustrate why communication of ideas through public speaking is often avoided by professionals. Yet quite simply, one of the most powerful sources of confidence in your public speaking ability is knowing that you are prepared.

Some studies have shown that fear of public speaking ranks up there with the fear of death. That doesn’t surprise me. Although I am now about as comfortable with a microphone and an audience as I am in my own living room, that wasn’t always true. To be honest, until only a few years ago, I was petrified to talk in front of any sized group.

Fear of public speaking is easily one of the most common and debilitating fears that there is. Many people place fear of public speaking in the same category that they do life-threatening situations. So if getting up in front of people is something that scares you silly, you aren’t alone. Fear of public speaking is rated the number one fear with death actually coming in at number four.

Dealing with our fears, dancing with them and overcoming challenges could lead us to better life and opportunities to grow to our full potential and I believe that everyone deserve this chance.

Lets end with a quote from Jerry Seinfeld: “According to most studies, people’s number one fear is public speaking. Number two is death. Death is number two? Does that seem right? To the average person that means that if they have to go to a funeral, they’d be better off in the casket than giving the eulogy.”

I will be happy if you share your thoughts about public speaking as the #1 Fear,
